Questions

Things cooks ask us.

Is the hygiene course really mandatory?

Yes, for every cook, every year. It’s free, takes about two hours on your phone, and you can stop and start. It covers storage, allergens like nuts, and safe handover.

Will anyone come to my house?

Only our verified riders, and only to your gate. There’s no pick-up option for buyers, and your address is never shown in the app.

What if I only want to cook on weekends?

That’s fine. You choose your days and your pot size each week. Many cooks only open Friday to Sunday.

Do I have to buy PikaBox packaging?

Yes. It’s how buyers know a plate is sealed and from a verified kitchen. It costs about KES 21 a plate and drops as you grow.

What happens if a buyer complains?

We look at it with you first.

Can I cook from a rented flat?

Yes, as long as the video check passes.

Start this week.

Fifteen minutes to apply. Save and finish later on your phone.
